Interesting use of MMS

picturephoning.com: BBC Lets Audience Send in MMS For TV Shows

This appears to be one of those uses, like SMSing intoa show, that will probably never make it into the US. But it's still a good idea.

Imaging having your phone mounted for car use, but with the camera pointed straight out the front window. If you ran into traffic or something blocking the road you could, theoreticaly, tell your phone to not only take a picture of it but mail it into a radio station or traffic site that allows reports. This would greatly improve the time relevance of stuff and also allow the reporters to better tell how long the block up will be. A box in a lane won't last nearly as long as an overtturned semi, for instance, even though both can create traffic messes.
