Cameraphones: No more "he said-she said"

picturephoning.com: High school student takes camshot of teacher slapping a classmate

Stuff like this used to fall in the category of one persons word over another. And in the case of student and teacher, most outsiders would believe the teacher. But now students are empowered to change all of that.

Overall, this is a very good thing.

However, this will also help open up behind-the-doors things that may have gone on in the past. A photo isn't a complete interpretation of a scene; context is very important too. I could envision outrage at some scenes that may be completely normal. That should not stop the use, however. It just means more doors will be open to better understand the workings of whatever is being seen in a new light.
