Alltel Motorola RAZR V3c Available
I had my hands on this phone for only a little while. Although the hardware is basically identical to the upcoming Verizon RAZR, this handset has a normal Motorola user interface sans menu button.
It's curious that they list it as having an MP3 player since it doesn't have a memory card slot. How will music be put onto the handset? Hmmm... Makes one wonder, huh?
The price is actually rather nice at $199 with service. That's a bit more than the GSM RAZRs, but it does have more features, including the higher resolution camera.
I'll still be doing a more complete review of the Verizon RAZR when it is made available.
Check it out at Alltel's site.

So, I may be being dumb about this, I'm no phone guru. However, in terms of the MP3 function, I know that the phone is bluetooth capable and you can also plug a USB cable into it.

Kate,
The handset itself doesn't have a whole lot of storage. At least, not in terms of full MP3 music files, which are usually in the ragne of 4MB each. It does support MP3 playback for ringers, of course.
Certainly, some people could load it up with a few MP3s via a cable. But is there actually an MP3 playing app on it? This isn't like the V710 or E815 that have a memory card slot (or any number of other handsets, these days).
Perhaps the carrier is planning something new?
Well, we'll find out. Perhaps it will all lead to a class action suit like the one over the V710 on Verizon.
Oh, and I didn't see any (full length) music playback available on the handset I had for a few days. But it was an early version...

I just got thi phone through telus. I was lied to when I asked many times if it could play mp3, I was told I could download mp3 for this phone. I later was told there is no way to put mp3s on this phone. Also I was told i could watch live tv on this phone. Again a lie. The phone is nice looking but I could get a cheeper one that can do the same things. Dont trust telus to give you the truth about what the phones can do.
