Synergy for Copy and Paste

Picture 12 Mac OS X has a built-in VNC client and server. I used this to connect to a VNC server on my PC (in this case, TightVNC). I want to do this for two reasons:

  1. Remote Control of the PC
  2. Copy and Paste to and from the PC

My first reason worked fine, as it should. The second reason, however, failed miserably. The Apple forums have a number of people complaining about this all year. However, Synergy, a free and open source project, works great for the cutting and pasting between the two machines. It’s designed to let one keyboard and mouse control multiple computers. That part works great. A feature of it, though, is sharing the clipboard and it works very well.
