DHhell Over?

dhhell angry=dead What happens to a company that can never seem to do anything right? For instance, everyone I know has had terrible experiences with DHL – multiple times. And they all wished their favorite companies wouldn’t sometimes use DHL. I recently wrote about yet another bad experience I’ve had with them. Luckily, though, I found out that this may be the last time I have a bad experience with them.

DHL has laid off 9,500 people and have suspended domestic mailing operations within the US. That makes the total for the year 14,900 US jobs cut. That’s bad for those folks, of course, but good for those of us who want to receive our shipments. It will force companies like Amazon and Dell to use only USPS, FedEx, or UPS – all of which have far more reliable service. And to those in other countries that have had countless DHL issues: Unless they improve, this could be the start of the end for them.

On the flip side, reductions in US staff and hubs mean shipments from outside the country that come in via DHL will likely be even worse off.
